Who provides this website
This website is provided by CBPROJEKT spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (CBPROJEKT sp. z o.o.), registered office at Wschodnia 6/15, 20-015 Lublin, Poland, entered in the National Court Register under KRS 0001221768, NIP 9462763671, REGON 543893138. Email: contact@cbproject.org.
In these Terms we call ourselves “CBproject”, “we” or “us”, and we call you “you” or “the user”.
What these Terms are
These Terms are the regulamin świadczenia usług drogą elektroniczną required by Article 8 of the Polish Act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services by electronic means (ustawa o świadczeniu usług drogą elektroniczną).
They set out the rules for using cbproject.org. They're free to read, and you can save or print this page at any time. By using the site you accept them.
How we handle personal data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
What we provide
Everything here is free, and none of it involves buying anything. We provide three services electronically:
— The website itself — reading pages about the company, its history, its team and its projects. No account, no registration, nothing to install.
— The contact form — a one-off message to us, with your name, email address and text. We use it to reply to you.
— The partner form — leaving your email address so we can contact you about ideas, collaborations and news from CBproject. Ticking the consent box is your consent to us contacting you at that address; you can withdraw it at any time by emailing contact@cbproject.org.
We do not sell anything on this site. There is no shop, no checkout, no payments, no subscriptions, no user accounts and no downloads of paid products.
What you need to use the site
Nothing exotic:
— a device with an internet connection;
— a current version of a common web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or an equivalent);
— JavaScript enabled for full functionality — most of the site works without it, but animations, some interactive parts and the forms will not;
— a working email address, if you want to use either form.
Using the internet always carries some risk — malware, interception of unencrypted traffic, people pretending to be someone they're not. We serve this site over HTTPS, and we recommend you keep your browser and operating system up to date.
How you may and may not use the site
Use it normally and we'll never have a problem.
You must not supply unlawful content. Specifically, do not use the site or its forms to send anything that:
— breaks Polish law, EU law or the law where you are;
— infringes anyone's rights, including copyright, trademarks, personal rights or privacy;
— is abusive, threatening, defamatory, discriminatory or incites hatred or violence;
— is spam, unsolicited advertising, or a chain message;
— contains malware, scripts or code designed to damage or interfere with anything;
— attempts to gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure, or to overload it.
If you break these rules we may block your access, delete the content and, where the law requires it, report the matter to the appropriate authority.
When the service starts and how it ends
Using the website starts when you open a page and ends when you close it. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel — you can stop at any time by leaving.
Using a form starts when you submit it and ends when we've dealt with your message. If you're on the partner list, that continues until you withdraw your consent, which you can do at any time by emailing contact@cbproject.org, with no reason needed and no consequences.
We may suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, for technical or business reasons. If we do, we'll try to give notice where it's practical to do so.
Intellectual property
The site and what's on it — text, layout, graphics, photographs, logos, animations, source code, documentation and project descriptions — belong to CBPROJEKT sp. z o.o. or are used by us with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws.
CBproject, CBPROJEKT, and the names of our projects — including ThU, CIBHER, RAO3, CBkelvin, GUItar, CBmahlo, ARIA, MIRYAM, AuFish, Akademiya, H2engine, Harmonica, CBaegis and Eulogy — together with our logos, are our trade names and marks.
You may read the site, print pages for yourself, and link to us. You may not, without our written permission, copy or republish our content, use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse or are involved with something, use anything here commercially, or scrape the site or use its content to train machine-learning models.
Press, event organisers and educational users: just email contact@cbproject.org. We're usually happy to say yes.
Projects, prototypes and things we haven't built yet
This matters, so read it properly.
CBproject is a research, invention and design group. A lot of what you see on this site is work in progress. Some projects are working prototypes. Some are concepts. Some exist as a name, a sketch and an intention.
— Prototypes are prototypes. They are experimental, not certified, not tested to any product standard, and not offered for sale. Descriptions of how they perform come from our own development work and are not guaranteed specifications.
— Statements about unreleased projects are forward-looking. When we describe what a project will do, when it might launch, or what it might be capable of, that's our intention at the time of writing — not a promise, an offer, or a commitment. Plans change. Projects get redesigned, delayed, merged or abandoned. Nothing here creates any obligation for us to develop or release anything.
— Awards describe the project as it was entered. Recognition at Concours Lépine, INTARG, e(x)plory and similar competitions relates to what was submitted at the time. It isn't a safety certification, a product approval, or a statement about anything's current state.
— Nothing here is an offer. Under Article 71 of the Polish Civil Code, information published on this site is an invitation to conclude a contract, not an offer within the meaning of Article 66.
— Nothing here is professional advice. Don't rely on technical descriptions on this site for engineering, safety, financial, medical or legal decisions.
Links to other sites
We link out to places like cibher.eu, Google Play and our social media profiles.
Those we don't operate ourselves are run by other people, under their own terms and their own privacy policies. We don't control them and we're not responsible for what's on them. Once you follow a link away from here, these Terms stop applying and theirs start.
Availability
We'd like the site to be up all the time, and it usually is. But we can't promise uninterrupted, error-free or perfectly secure access. Maintenance, hosting outages, network problems and attacks all happen.
We may change, update or remove any part of the site at any time without notice.
Liability
We take reasonable care to keep the information on this site accurate and current, but we don't guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date, particularly where it describes projects still under development.
To the extent Polish law allows, we're not liable for loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, or from relying on information published here. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for intentional harm, for damage to life or health, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law — and if you're a consumer, nothing here reduces the rights Polish consumer law gives you.
Complaints
If something on this site doesn't work, or you're unhappy with how we've handled a message, tell us.
Send complaints to contact@cbproject.org, or by post to CBPROJEKT sp. z o.o., Wschodnia 6/15, 20-015 Lublin, Poland. Please include your name, an email address or postal address we can reply to, a description of the problem, and what you'd like us to do about it.
We will respond within 14 days of receiving your complaint, to the address you gave us. If we need longer because something genuinely takes more investigating, we'll tell you within those 14 days, explain why, and give you a new date.
If you are a consumer
If you use this site for purposes outside your trade or profession, you are a consumer, and Polish and EU consumer law protects you regardless of anything in these Terms.
Because we don't sell anything here, consumer disputes with us are unlikely — but if one arises and our complaints procedure hasn't resolved it, you can use out-of-court routes:
— your municipal or district consumer ombudsman (miejski lub powiatowy rzecznik konsumentów), free of charge;
— the Trade Inspection (Wojewódzki Inspektorat Inspekcji Handlowej), which runs mediation and consumer arbitration courts;
— an entity on the register of authorised ADR bodies kept by the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) — uokik.gov.pl;
— if you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centre network (ECC-Net), at konsument.gov.pl in Poland.
Please note: the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was permanently shut down on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and no longer exists. Any link to it you find on an older page is out of date.
Using these routes is voluntary. Both sides have to agree, and it doesn't stop you going to court.
Governing law and where disputes are heard
These Terms are governed by Polish law.
If you're a consumer, that choice of law doesn't take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you habitually live (Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation), and disputes are heard by the courts having jurisdiction under those rules — which will normally include the courts where you live.
If you're not a consumer, disputes go to the Polish court with jurisdiction over our registered office in Lublin.
Changes, versions and language
We may amend these Terms — for example when the law changes, when we add or remove something on the site, or when we need to make something clearer. The new version applies from the effective date shown at the top. If you've given us an email address, we'll let you know about material changes before they take effect; if you don't agree, withdraw your consent and we'll remove you.
Amendments never apply retroactively to complaints or requests we've already received.
These Terms are published in English, German, French, Spanish, Polish, Russian and Chinese. Because CBPROJEKT sp. z o.o. is established in Poland and these Terms are governed by Polish law, the Polish-language version is the legally authoritative one; the others are translations for convenience. If there's a discrepancy, the Polish version prevails — except that this never reduces the protection a consumer has under the mandatory law of their own country.
